With an adept understanding of offshore construction operations, CIS has a strong track record in shallow water platform jacket and offshore structure installation. Utilising our highly versatile Hydrohammers, CIS offers a complete piling service for conductors and traditional jacket structures alike.
To meet the ever-increasing demands for cost and schedule efficiency in marginal field development and extension, the introduction of alternative platform designs such as Conductor Supported Well Head (CSWP), Minimum Facility (MFP) and Conductor Supported Minimum Offshore Structures (CoSMOS) has enabled operators to develop marginal assets with much improved economy. These platforms maximise structural efficiency by using the Well conductors as the foundation and structural support for the topsides. As a result, the need for a traditional jacket is eliminated and the installation process is simplified enabling considerable savings through the use of more widely available, lower cost installation vessels.
For CoSMOS platforms, the requirement for a heavy lift vessel is negated entirely as the modular design can be installed and driven directly by the jack-up drilling rig.
Deployable from a range of marine vessels, barges or rigs, capable of driving both straight and raked piles, CIS’s flexible piling solution is a crucial to the success of minimal facility platform construction. With considerable overlap with our core business, CIS boasts a wealth of operational knowledge including connection selection and detailed construction understanding, essential in maximising economy of this low-cost platform solution.
