About the technology
Zone II power units are the preferred option in most European countries, and have established a strong track record in North Sea operations. We offer a 250-litre Zone II version, which runs our S-90 hydraulic hammers; and a 460-litre Zone II model, which runs our S-150 hydraulic hammers. For operations in other parts of the world, including Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, we offer a P-250 tropical standard unit. This 250-litre power unit runs S-90 hydraulic hammers. These power units are serviced either by qualified mechanics at our base in GreatYarmouth, UK, or on location by our fully qualified offshore mechanics

Project profile
When BG Group India required an offshore deviated directional drive operation, CIS supplied all the necessary products and engineering services, and supervised the process from start to finish. Using an S-90 hydraulic hammer and a P-250 tropical standard power unit, CIS drove the new conductor to its target. It achieved a 3 degree inclination over 97 m of penetration and hit the azimuth target perfectly.
CIS also maintains close links with out Acteon group sister company Claxton - who design and build HPU's for bespoke applications.
